Hi guys,

I have been offered a set of 2018 Fox 36 150mm forks for a good price. They are 27.5+/29 but my bike is running standard 27.5 wheels with 2.4 tyres. I know they will physically fit but is there going to be any problems by doing this?

Also I want to increase the travel to 170mm, I think the below air shaft is correct for the forks:

https://j-techsuspension.co.uk/collections/air-shafts/products/fox-36-na2-air-shaft-assembly?variant=1055907708953

Anyone care to take a look and confirm this is all OK before I buy in.

Thanks

Won't it jack the front ever so slightly and result in a slacker head angle.

It’ll raise your front end by a bit, depending on what you have on at the mo, thus slackening the HA. BB will come up a bit too

20mm on fork = approx 1 deg off HA but you'll gain a bit back as you lose some of the height difference in sag. Offset will likely be different too.  BB change will be marginal.
