Hello all,

I have WTB Trail Blazer 27.7 2.8 tubeless tyres on my Genesis Longitude. Would swapping them for the same size Schwalbe G-One make any difference? Different thread pattern plus Schwalbe has max pressure at 45psi v 35psi on WTB.
WTB are great on bad roads, but now I'm in Southern Spain with lots of empty tarmac roads and smooth dry gravel.

Thanks!

And a picture 🙂

I would swap to a narrower width of tyres as well as a faster tread.

How much narrower I could get away with? It's a temporary fix until I can come back to the UK, so I want to keep same rims.

I would have thought even on wider rims like that you could fit a 2.3, low tread and lighter tyre and feel a lot more speed when pedalling roads and uphill.
Of course you will loose some downhill grip when braking or corners in the rough.
