Heading back into the MTB world after years of road and have a BMC TwoStroke 01 arriving this week - what's the go to 27.2mm dropper at the moment?

Start here https://singletrackmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/27-2-dropper-post-8-upgrades-for-your-mountain-bike/ and see what’s even available. Brand X gets a lot of love in general but can’t imagine there are many 27.2’s out there.

Can I ask how long you've had them and whether they have developed much play? I'm trying to compare the Brand X seatposts I've owned with PNW ones.

I own a 27.2 xfusion manic stealth which replaced a brandx ascend with external routing.
No noticeable difference between them than the obvious.

Pnw and brand x use the same manufacturer for a lot of their parts

KS LEV here, still smooth and looks/feels like new after a year's use.

I'm currently sat next to my Brand-x ascend in my Marin.

It's got a little side to side play but it's never been an issue or in any way noticeable. Had it from day one.
No other issues to report, other than it's a little slower than I'm used to with my other bikes ones.

I have a 100mm drop x fusion manic. No problem at all. Used on winter bike, no discernible play and still smooth.
