Again, thanks in advance for the collective wisdom of STW.

I am looking to source an external cable routed 27.2mm dropper post.

Brand X still the value go-to?

Now, if anyone should have an unwanted one in the shed, garage, loft, under the bed, etc, then I'd be happy to consider a purchase 🙂

Thanks.

I think they're about the only go to.

Look at the pnw pine. It replaced a brand x (i think) as it was playing up and the pnw is massively better

I have a Brand-X on my hack bike. They function perfectly well but you are limited to 100 mm drop. I think somebody makes a 120 mm drop post, but I can't remember who.

They (Brand X) were great vfm.

KS Lev does 100mm/120mm options in 27.2 external routing. More pricey than Brand X but top notch quality.

Also Gravity Dropper, a bit old skool but very reliable, great if you can find one. I have one on an old hardtail which I'll be selling soon, so might be open to offers 😉

I’ve also got a KS Lev in 27.2 . It’s been on my XC race bike for a couple of years and has been impeccable up to now. Not cheap though.

DT do some short travel upside downy ones. Tempted to put one on the gravel bike.

Pretty far down the list of things I'd spend £350 on, though!
