I had the pleasure of riding with her at a recent bike festival in Norfolk, she is absolutely lovely but stands about 5ft tall and weighs about 7 stone, i'm not surprised 26" road wheels fit her best, plus the smaller the wheel the more aerodynamic and stiffer it is, so makes sense in a TT environment.
Whether it made the road "come alive" i couldn't comment.

Very pleased she won, getting a PhD and a national title in the same year can't be that common.
