Apologies for another tyre thread. I am looking for and recommendations for f&r tyres for some upcoming events. I have a few mtb duathlons (sherwood, llandegla and xc based) plus some other organised mtb events. They are from Oct-Feb so conditions could be interesting and unpredictable.

So, I'm looking for a tyre selection that doesn't exist, the perfect all rounder that is light (or light'ish), fast and tough. Yes, I know, there isn't one but any recommendations eould be great.

I did some events with High Rollers earlier this year. Great control but... Soooo heavy and slow. Definitely cost me time but I also didn't wipe out on the bends either 😉

Many thanks

been running ikons recently and really like them. not great in mud but fast and fun everywhere else.

i've got the EXO 3C versions which weren't cheap but not too bad if you get them from one of the french or german discounters. ~700gms if you care about that sort of thing as well.

Many Thanks guys, I was considering the Ardent /Ardent Race so will check out the Ikon.

The Mud X is a tyre that completely passed me by tbh but having Just read up on it it seems like a great value autumn-spring option.

Im definitely not a weight weenie but if I can make my climbs a bit easier I'll take that option ??

Which size Mud-x do you run jonjonjon3? 1.8 or 2.0?

Cheers
