eBay seems to have plenty of results for "26 2.1 tyre" and "26 v brake suspension fork". Certainly plenty of 26" tyres still available.

I noticed Planet X have some 26" tyres. If you don't mind (barely) used I have some old Fire xc tyres in the garage.

Tyres are still pretty well catered for, the major brands still make them so you will most likely be fine with them.

Forks wise you are going to have to go second hand for anything decent. Sadly that also means paying "retro vintage" tax. For V's you may get lucky though, Marz MXC's or Corsa's probably aren't rad enough for most so should be fine, just avoid the silver stanchion Suntour built models and you will be grand (unless you really don't care in which case batter in). Plenty of older BAM models going as well.

I struggled to find 26 x 2.1 maxxis ignitors in the UK but deporvillage do them, so you might have to hunt around a bit.

Quite a few marzocchi forks on ebay.

For example:

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Marzocchi-Bomber-2001-Forks-26/283540738184?hash=item4204585088

Air, 100mm. Long steerer. Maybe change the oil, £10-£15 for motul 7.5wt. Not mine BTW. Just have had quite a few marzocchi. I got some marzocchis but 110 travel and coil, just done a oil service

I have two pairs of those 2001 Bombers linked to above, both in great condition. Was thinking of selling them but not so sure now. Might be useful if I build a couple of hardtails for me and OH.

At those kind of prices it's probably cheaper to move to a different wheel size. You are going to have to at some point, might as well do it now and get th benefits of a better bike.

Not sure about cheap but Rockshox do a v-brake recon with straight steerer. They seem to have released a couple of 1/8 steer models this year.

It’s not my bike - it has value to the owner so no change

I quite like it. It's certainly better than the James Bond thing that was the last release*

* whatever that means these days.

Still have a pair of MXCs sitting doing nothing in shed.
Likewise a pile of 26" tyres. Suspect I'll put them to the bicycle recycle outfit close by soon.

Probably should really.
Only got one 26" bike left, and that's firmly rigid forks.
