I've had a couple of issues with my frame recently, and it looks like I may have to upgrade in the not too distant future.
It's an 8yo Carrera Titan Carbon HT frame, with all equipment fitted being of the same era, 100mm forks etc.
I'm happy with it, but the rear hanger mounting point doesnt seem have long left in it.
I'm after a similar spec frame i.e., no long wheelbase, suitable for short travel forks, new would be nice, but I havent seen anything like that for at least 3 years, so 2nd hand - what would be one to look for?
I've had Rock Lobsters before, but probably wont go back to one of those.
Any ideas? Thanks.
No-one has any thoughts on this then?
You're describing a Giant Anthem, pre 29er which is likely ore than three years ago (I think).
Do be careful - good straight steerer 26" forks are getting harder to come by. Most olde frames tie you into these.
If you can, a move to 27.5 or 29 may be worth looking into, especially for long term keeps.
Or if you stay HT, just about any xc frame you like.
you can have our Claud Butler frame for free, 16".
What forks are on the bike?
As in why are all the bits worth swapping to a new frame?
There's a small number of new 26er frames on https://www.bike-discount.de/en
Both hard tail and full suspension.
