Hi

At the moment I have a mavic XC717 which I am using for bikepacking duties but to keep the tyres on I am having to use higher pressures than I would like.

As I need to replace the front hub I thought is was now the time to change to a wider rim than I have.

My frame is a 26 On One inbred with horizontal dropouts and I have surly troll fork so the bike will take wider tyres than I have at the moment. Currently I have Race Kings 2.2 and I still have room at the rear and loads more on the fork.

I would really like to lower the pressure in my current tyres without having to worry that the tyres are going to roll off the rim as well as less pressure will aid comfort.

Because ive had these rim for years and years im a little out of touch in what rims would be good for what I require.

So needs to be wider than what I have at the moment, I would also like tubeless and my main riding is bikepacking.

If you could point me in the right direction it would help. I have been trying to do some research but its just made it harder for me to make a decision.

I recently built up some Velocity Blunt 35 (30mm internal width) that I got from Wiggle. Stans also do a mk 3 Flow that is the same width and price.

I am running Continental Mountain King 2.4 and they are nice and wide and have a good profile.
