Hi all, just bought a gt stomper ace for the youngest beanie. Really happy with it but the fork is pretty basic as expected. I've a set of 26" recon solo airs in the shed and a pair of revs like new. 2 questions.. can I reduce the recons to 60mm travel from 100 (is 40mm too far?) Am I right in thinking this era 2008ish use travel spacers?? Anyone else put a 26" fork on a kids bike?

yup, i did. Mine were circa 2006, dual air though. Used the -ve air chamber to draw the fork down to about 60mm. That same fork also used travel spacers, but i didnt use them. If i still have them, PM me and i will send them over.

Hi there, how’s the GT Stomper holding up? Would you recommend them? It’s the only half decent mtb I can find in stock so wondering if there’s a reason they’ve not sold. Thanks.
