8am ride to Rivington Pike from Turton, was a wet, windy & bumpy affair. my bones are well and truly shaken up now. I'd like to confirm that cantis, mud & water don't mix to well!

I did try and ride back down (but went over the bars) into a ditch! 😆

Nice report. I've ditched cantis for V-brakes and Problem Solver Travel Agent - much, much better.

Hi Craig, nice pics. Where's number 3?
we were out and about. From Darwen, Roddlesworth, back of Great Hill, White Coppice, Lead mines, Bleach works and home. It was a bit cowd and miserable towards the end.

Oh yeah, just remembered. Whilst we were out we came across a Mondraker hardtail and a bag locked to a fence with a rather poxy looking lock in the middle of nowhere. Lights on it and all sorts of very easily nickable gear. Nobody in sight. Braver person than me!

yep it was bleak and quite an effort getting there (all down hill on the way back though). I gave up with the pics as you couldn't see much in the end.

cx bikes are great...there brakes aint too great though!

found loads of new trails which is always good.

number 3? you count turton tower?

pic 3 is just a little footpath I found from cox green rd down to the A666 (spits you out opposite where the buses turn around).

the hall is just at the end of a bridalway/ smithalls dean rd.

yeah if you've got a cx bike for the trails then get some disc's! (or build that hand strength up) :lol:I've got kool stop wet pads too 🙄

I was up there yesterda, bumped into STWer kingkongsfinger (the user that is). It was minging up there. Coming down the eliminator was a moist hoot. I miss northern mud, it can be hosed off with no suds needed.
