Tried absolutely everywhere but can only find maximum size upnto 2.50.
I want to do ghetto tubeless on my Fat Bike so need the extra width.
Removable valve core needed too.
Don't want downhill tubes as they are too thick and heavy!

Anyone know where to get them? 🙂

They dont exist. Best (only) option is the Schwalbe AV10D but you probably already know that. I went the cheaper option with non-removable core, but its easy enough to push the bead in a little to add sealant. Valves are very short on those though, strictly single wall or very shallow rims only.

How wide is the rim? The AV10 2.5 is wide enough to tubeless my 80mm rims- only just though. Cheaper and lighter than the AV10D.

(IIRC the inside dimensions of mine are 78mm but that's half guess)

Hi, cheers guys, mine are 80mm wide. Think it will only give 5mm either side which is very tight for adjustment and trimming etc?

You don't need to trim it if it's the right width already... You do need to be more precise with splitting and locating the AV10 but I've not found any real downside- it's no bother to cut right up the seam with scissors to keep it nice and even.

OK, I'll try that mate. I'm running on one 3rd edition Fatty trail wheels. Think they are El Guapo. Do you think the on one baby Fatty tubes will be too thick to mould around the bead?
Also (sorry) am I deffo safer with split tube method as I thought the Gorilla tape method was also a good idea?

Gorilla tape alone didn't work on my rims so I dunno about that. Basically I reckon when you're doing tubeless, you want to do it with as few parts as possible- so tape and a valve if you can. But it just won't work on a lot of rims

The fatty trail wheels are labelled as Emmental rims, not really a 'V3' more like an alternative basic rim and same as the rims on the Dune fatbike apparently. There are a few people who report they have managed to tubeless using the split tube method. The baby fat tubes are wide, a good inch+ excess on each side once split so dead easy to fit tyre and trim excess. Ok they might end up maybe 25-50g heavier than a thin tube once complete but the weight savings are still significant over a standard tubed set-up.

Ah if it's the same rim as the emmenthal wheelset then yes it's the same as on the Dune, too. Though those are drilled for schrader.

AV10 is ideal IMO, I've used both the AV10 and AV10D on these rims and you just end up cutting the AV10D down to the same width anyway. But it'll need something to build up the rim bed too- I used packing foam, other approaches exist and could work better but this works well. If you search "tubeless dune" you'll find a post I did the other day about this exact setup.

I didnt have any flat foam when i did my Daryl's so just used pipe lagging trimmed to the right width, worked fine (tho didnt work fine when cut too narrow!)
