Looking for a 24inch fork for my daughter's bike. I know the benefits are marginal but she gets sore arms from tree roots etc and it is starting to reduce her enjoyment of the bike. Got 2.1 tires at 15ish psi at the moment, so not much else I can do.
So what is good ( would like a 26inch straight steerer but the eBay prices are crazy and all look trashed). It seems the spinner grind forks are the best but cannot find any over here, rest first air 24 look ok with suntour xcr air as the final option? Anything else out there?
2 weeks ago I bought some 20in spinners direct from the Polish Euro Distributors for 120 euro posted -
excellent direct service
my eldest also runs 24in on his nukeproof and they feel great

RST F1rst Air are great. My lad had a set on his bike which is now my daughters bike and they have been really good. Used in the alps and trail centres over here. Would recommend, but not sure how available they are now, I was looking for a set for a mates kids bike but was struggling....
Ok, quick replies. Thanks will try spinner direct.
OP i've got some RST F1RST forks i'm looking to move on if you were interested? Drop me a message on here and i'll send some pics.
+1 RST F1rst
Great forks.
I know the benefits are marginal
I'd hardly call the F1rst air just a marginal benefit.
I know there is a lot of debate on the weight penalty Vs the value of the suspension for little riders. Especially with heavy coil forks, I hope the lighter note adjustable air forks will be better! As she is getting bigger and riding faster it is going to make more if a difference.
maybe keep an eye out for some manitou r7 on ebay
For £100, I managed to get some decent '06 SID World Cup forks for my daughters 24" bike.
They are 26", but A2C is exactly the same height as the 24" Zoom forks that were on it before + the bike is now 1kg lighter on the front end, as well as having some forks that actually work with a lightweight rider.
Also gives you the option of putting a nice light 26" wheel up front, if your daughter grows a little.
I appreciate that eBay is silly at the moment, but put up a wanted ad in the classifieds - you never know.
Will try the classified.
yeah, i've used 26" SID forks found second hand with my kids 24" wheeled bikes.
With a lighter oil inside them they work very well at lower pressures. Also, as said above, they have been moved on to 26" wheels and bikes with no need to replace.
I bought some a few weeks back for £150 in great condition. 1 - 1/8th long steerer.
