I was the only Brit who went. I had a lot of fun and got a stripey T-shirt (more by luck than skillful riding...)
Anyway, shamless blog-plug if anyone wants to read about it

European Championships are in Portugal next month if anyone is interested?

Thanks guys, had a great time (generally, not just the race)
Quite an adventure for me, first time I've been outside Western Europe/Australia (which is quite like Western Europe if you disregard the wildlife), only there a few days but a bit out of my comfort zone being in a strange place and barely being able to talk to anyone, English isn't as universal as we often think. Really pleased I did it though, had a great time.
If anyone is thinking of the BrasilRide stage race I would recommend it based on this, same organisers, looks a lot of fun, I'd love to go back and give it a go.
Just a shame there weren't more Brits/singlespeeders racing this year.
