An exciting one this - Does anyone know a good place to leave a car for 36 hours or so whilst we head out on the trails? Are the big tourist ones ok with it? Anywhere in the Windemere or Ambleside area really???

Windermere - the estate up behind Booths/Train Station has no restrictions IIRC, I was doing some work down there a couple of years back anyway and didn't notice any! You head off the A591 down a narrow road, under the railway and it's down there

Or a better bet would be along the lane after the [url= http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=337117&Y=504377&A=Y&Z=110 ]bridge heading towards Clappersgate[/url]
