They're doing an offer of buy 1 get 1 half price at the moment, so £72 for the day for 2 riders, which is reasonable.

Anyone fancy it ?

I'll be riding mostly Solo as i can't ride some of the stuff he'll play on... So riding buddies appreciated.

Ooh, nice offer (£50 from Feb!) and that's about the only day I could do in January - seeing if my mate is up for it, we've not been since covid.

Marv. Will keep updating but I'm guessing I'll be easy to find as I've posted enough crap about our bikes to be able to work out who we are.

I'll only see my lad for the first hour, then I'll be getting sacked off for Black trails.

All booked so I'll be coming along.....

the buy 1 get 1 half price can only be used on the same uplift day which is annoying as I was aiming to book some additional solo rides later in the year...

Fab stuff. Should be a laugh.

We'll work out closer to the time how to find eachother.

Me and a few mates are booked onto the Covid Bus on the 22nd, can't bloody wait.

Now, what front tyre for BPW in January? I suspect a Shorty isn't the best choice...

We'll likely be in Assegai on both bikes. Spare bike will have a DH22 front. Spare wheel has a Shorty front.

Does that help any?

Yeah, thanks. I was thinking Assegai. Is a run on the DH bike still on offer?

Hey, of course. Although remind me closer to the time via PM with your weight so I can spring it accordingly.

We all good to play then kids ?

In our 'group' there's already more than a full-bus load, i think we've got 15 in total who are playing.. But i expect a lot of splits as some are family riders, some are black run riders and some are blue/reds.
I'll be concentrating more on Red than anything else i think, although in the afternoon i think i'll be getting roped into heading over to a black with a camera for some shots/videos of the boys. Although potentially they'll have been mostly sorted by then.

There's a few reds i'm going to seek out as i've not ridden them, Pandoras Rocks, Groot and Snakebite. So they'll deffo be on the list. Insufficient funds is a favourite to scare myself on the drops of, as well as Vicious Valley which i love as a trail. AC-DC and Watts Occuring always fun for some deathy-tech.

was their saturday, acdc and watts occuring were both closed, as is the tunnel, so you have to roll across the road,
snakebite is a bit like insufficent funds with techier landings, starts same location after tunnel.

all running well

/\ my usual assegai upfront/ DHR2 rear worked well for me , with a rimpac in.

I’ll be there with my mate George - I’ll be on a dark blue On-One Big Dog, I wear a Fluoro green gilet/jacket if it’s damp and a black jersey if not, orange/purple Switch blade lid.

Say hi if you see me.

Me and my lad will be there.

He’s on a new orange Canyon Spectral 29er.

I’ll be mincing on an 11-year-old first edition silver Nukeproof Mega (26” wheels, even older DHX5 coil shock, Smorgasbord and Chunky Monkey tyres). Should stand out nicely…

It’s a shame. Think we’ll aim for sometime in March when it’s hopefully warmed up a bit!

We're heading to FoD if anyone wants to play out still.

We'll be off-pisting it mostly.

Abigale was just south of Birmingham when she found out that tomorrows is cancelled. They have accommodation booked for weekend so will be riding some where. Probably won't be able to get back before she disappears to NZ

I'll be at FoD on Sunday now.

It’s a shame

It is, but it's the right call IMO.

Just as well:
1) Laddo's rear hub failed 2 weeks ago, the wheel's been with Canyon under warranty replacement work. They did the work a week ago but it's not yet been picked up by UPS, so it was looking like he'd have to hire one.
2) He took my bike to Flyup417 today and came off - he's groaning around the house with a stiff neck now. My bike is fine though 🙂
3) I was nervous as hell as it's been years since I did anything remotely gnar-core and I wasn't sure of my chances. An alternative date in about 3 months time might give me time to practise

I think I’ll be at FOD, plodding about and doing some skids.

Don't say that on here! The skid Police will be after you. Skidding on trails makes you worse than Hitler.

It's true though, most of the trails on FoD have to have volunteers giving them TLC with a lot of the mistreatment, but i think tomorrow they'll still be a little on the frozen side so any skids won't cause too much damage 😂

We're hitting Parkend first riding from footie pitch about 9.30-10. usual runs down if you know them.

We'll be at visitors center for 12.30-1 for a bit of lunch and then hitting rubber duck side of playtime for a bit. Then maybe uplifting the lad for 1-3 final runs of DH course on his new bike.

Say hello if you see us and want to ride.

Parkend doesn't have any footy pitches to my knowledge 😋

The footy pitch is in Elwood.

Had another mail from BPW this morning; because I booked the buy one, get one half price, I can't rebook. A voucher or a refund are my only options.

Wherever it is that's where we'll be. Legs are tired from Bringewood today, but we'll have a go.

Won't be too early as we've got to drive over from premier Inn near BPW as we're still doing tonight there

Then maybe uplifting the lad for 1-3 final runs of DH course on his new bike.

Do we assume that things escalated at usual Weeksy pace?

Me and a few mates were meant to be at BPW yesterday. Very annoying it was shut, but I understand why… we rode Barry sidings on Friday, cwmcarn & risca yesterday and stopped in on FoD for a couple of hours off piste earlier.

Just got in. An epic few days riding. Hopefully my toes will finally warm up now 😀
