Can someone measure the distance across the tread? need to know if it will fit in the back of my trance x

I've ran RQ 2.2s on a Trance before. They were fine except for how slow they are 😉 Or maybe that was just me.

Tread width = 55mm, Side walls =59mm on Stans Flow rims.
Got the Black Chilli ones, Superb all round tyre.

The rumours of immenseness are as far as I can tell all from people who've got used to tyre sizes that are a total lie tbh. Yes the 2.2 is almost as big as a 2.4 Mountain King, that's because 2.4 Mountain Kings are very small not because Rubber Queens are very big.

They're tall, though, so do make sure you have a bit of clearance between the tops of the tyres and the frame.

I didn't find them to be especially good tyres, mind. They roll like a smaller tyre and they grip like a smaller tyre. Fantastic in a straight line over roots and rocks but not that good when leaned over. And heavy. Good on a hardtail for the volume, though. And the 2.4 was great on my rigid! But for general trail use I went back to my boring old Nevegals.
