Getting some 15mm wheels and converting them back to sensible 20mm, do I have to pay through the nose for some specicf end caps or alre they much of a muchness? I remember getting some engineered fora tenner a few years ago instead of paying but that was a no name hub.

not all end caps are the same. Hope Pro 2's are the same both sides, Hope Bulb's are odd lengths either side. Some other hubs may not accept a 20mm axle due to bearing size.
