2024 RS Pike RC lack of travel

My son has an issue with his 140mm Rockshox Pike RC, the fork isn't getting full travel and there's a definite clunk at about 100mm of travel and that's the limit of compression. I've let all of the air out and tried again and the same thing happens, they're less than a year old.

Any ideas? It's almost like something has dropped down in the fork legs and os taking up space

Either warranty them or have a poke and see what's going on with the air shaft. Immediate thought is that a volume spacer/token may have come lose and be limiting travel so check that first. Obviously that's on the side that has the air spring in.

The volume spacer idea certainly sounds like a possibility, I'll whip the air cap off and have a look inside as the stop / blocker seems to be in that leg of the forks.

A volume spacer coming loose or dropping down from the top cap wouldn't actually affect or restrict the travel in any way. Regardless, a quick test for this is to tip the fork upside down and you'd hear the token sliding up and down in the upper left stanchion.
I wouldn't advise taking the fork apart yourself as it is still within a warranty period. Take it to any bike shop that has a Sram account (which is pretty much every bike shop) and they can ship the fork back to the Sram Warranty Centre for inspection. Sram provide the shop with a pre-paid shipping label too.
