I've not seen this done yet and a recent poll on another site reminded me.
What were you figures like for 2024 and did you do more or less than you thought you would?
I'll kick it off with mine.
Had a pretty good year and reached the only real goal I'd set for the year despite being ill for nearly all of December.
All rides are off road for me.
Distance- 5266KM. Not very far on the grand scale of things but still not too bad.

Elevation- 211,983 Meters. Was aiming for 200,00 so pretty pleased with that. Looking at the poll it's definitely at the higher end of the scale.

Time- 549 Hours 39 Minutes. Doesn't really seem much but that's just actual moving time and put into perspective when you look at suspension service intervals of around 100 Hours.

Not the best year, injury and illness meant a fair chunk of time off the bike

1769 miles (2647 km)
131360 ft (40.039m)
173 hours
My Eddington was 24
Distance 3230km
Elevation 87600m
Time 290hrs
All on mtbs but 2 or 3 uplift days and one day on an ebike. Down on last year as I've not had the energy or motivation to commute by bike.
I covered just under 3600 miles last year, 300 miles a month, which was mainly commuting. This year so far is a big fat zero.
I just add all my activities together. More running means less cycling 🙂

Distance: 7,854.5km
Elevation: 217,790m
Time: 506h
Slightly down on last year but I'd set myself a target of 85 1,000m plus rides after doing 81 in 2023. I got to 85 by mid October so changed it to 100 and manged 104.
That's split between mtb and road, split fairly evenly time wise at a guess. And all human powered, all outdoors.
And all human powered, all outdoors.
And that is the important thing. Chapeau.
Is there an obvious way to get your 2024 total in Strava now the "year in sport" thing has gone?
I can't seem to find it anyway.

This includes some walking
I always wish it was more
Always grateful for every ride
A few years ago, at a low point of illness and injury, nothing major but really getting in the way, i asked myself what i wanted.
I set the goal of being able to do 4 hour rides. Bonus would be 4 hour rides on successive days.
This year i did a 10 hour day and four 6 hour days in a row. Really chuffed with that
on a desktop browser just go to your front page and on the select the year

mine includes about 100k of running/walking/skateboarding and 99% of my biking is off road ( I dont record my commute)
Distance 1,340.9 km
Elev Gain 27,869 m
Time 133h 19m
| Distance | 2,038.8 km |
| Elev Gain | 25,835 m |
| Time | 91h 46m |
Excludes commuting which is ~2000km per year which I don't bother logging.
(+88hrs of football)
“Always grateful for every ride” (ampthill)
The above says it all for me. I had a couple of tumbles last year which curtailed my cycling so I was down 15% from the previous year. The worst psychologically for me was turboing in the garage in August when the weather was glorious outside. It was worth it as my CV fitness bounced back really quickly so by October I was very fit (for me) again only to go back to square one in early November.
So moral of the story is Always be grateful for every ride outside.
Thanks Kimbers.
My 2024 stats, riding only:
Activities - 103
Distance - 2,061km
Elev Gain - 75,679m
Time - 222h 29m
Used to do about 100,000m ascent each year (my main metric) but doing a fair bit of running instead now.
Distance: 7601km
Elevation: 121,327m
Time: 656hrs
Those figures include dog-walking/hikes (and some virtual rides)
Stats are fairly typical for me for last few years (down since pre-Covid when I used to commute by bike)
Retired now so I've set some ambitious targets for 2025

slightly less than the last few years, 8 weeks off due to a fractured pelvis at the end of summer and having the Christmas lurgey (that put a complete kibosh on my annual Rapha500)
102007 miles
374806ft
507hrs
28 100+ mile rides
20.1mph av
I'm way down this year, nearly 20% less than 2023 (all outdoors, all fully human-powered cycling)
4320 miles / 7000km
352,000ft climbing.
That's in spite of riding in southern Spain (2 trips) and also Girona. Longest ride this year was a Coast-to-Coast done in a day, 170 miles (the Way of the Roses).
Planning on starting some train/bike commutes this year and hopefully, when the weather improves, maybe ride full distance (30 miles) one or both ways once or twice a week so that should improve things a fair bit!
Poor fitness and manflu in the first quarter blew out my big plan for the year, disappointing, but got back some mojo in the latter half

I managed:
Activities 148
Distance 5,427.6 mi
Elev Gain 373,720 ft
I'm guessing this year's distance will be more since I'm going to ride home from Tallin, but there's not much elevation to be had along the way, it's mostly flat. I hope.
3561 miles 258528 ft 279hours 22minutes.
I'm most pleased because only 212 of the those miles were virtual and the turbo has now been sold and is no longer an option.
Also walked/hiked 2019 miles 213719 ft 725 hours and 44 minutes.
I'm tired even reading those stats, never mind doing them!
not sure of elevation, but it was a fair bit.

Just human powered cycling...
Distance- 6,907km (7,389km)
Elevation- 112,554 metres (121,610)
Time- 411 hours (618 hours)
(All activities in brackets)
And the wife's...
Distance- 5,076km (5,335km)
Elevation- 59,206 metres (64,765)
Time- 314 hours (378 hours)
I'm super pleased with my totals. Retirement has given me more time to engage in all of these activities; cancer has made it a bit harder to do them!
Fairly happy with mine. I started WFH last March which made things harder as a commute racks up a minimum of 55km. Numbers were disappointing until the 100 day challenge which turned things around a bit.
I don't set goals but maybe I should. Most of my riding mates are doing at least double my distance 🙁

3800 km
370 hours
110 000 m climbing
Almost all aff road and leg powered. There might be a few ebike rides in there but not many.
Time wise I spend a lot more time walking - 540 hours
Also 90 hours of strength training
Other bits and bobs (e.g. paddle boarding) too.
Weird year for me, took first four months almost entirely off riding, got some running and hiking done instead which I enjoyed. A pretty good 8 months otherwise by my standards.
Finished the year strong though, just managed to string some consistency together and shake off some niggling aches and pains, plus I've adapted my accumulated collection of bikes and riding gear so there is virtually no excuse for not getting out and riding now, morning Z2 in the dark and ice no bother 😎
Super motivated start to the new year, have a 90km muddy singletrack CX loop planned for my first Monday off of a new compressed fortnight working arrangement!

2200 miles, 252,000’ elevation, in 330 hours, 160 rides, all leg powered 90% on the Geometron, and a handful on the hardtail.
| Activities | 186 |
| Distance | 5,519.0 mi |
| Elev Gain | 530,363 ft |
| Time | 547h 38m |
Longest ride also had the most elevation - 192 miles & 10,436ft elevation (300k Audax)
Distance: 1190km
Elevation: 18366m
Time: 83:28:52
Piss poor really. It doesn't help living miles from anywhere I'd want to ride the MTB, then the rubbish summer weather and my riding buddy breaking himself in a commuting collision (all healed now thankfully). I'll do minimal MTB over the winter as leaving when it's dark to spend 2 hours driving to some hills, to do a cold muddy ride followed by 2 hours home, then having to deal with wet, dirty kit and bike in the cold and dark when I get home is just a PITA. Normally I'd be doing more on the turbo trainer but I seem to have been constantly ill for the last 8 weeks as well!
Still, the highlights were the Lake District trip in March and taking my nephews to Cannock Chase for their first tastes of mountain biking.
Rides 198
Time 236h 30m
2643 miles
168,283 ft elevation.
I am quite happy with that given that I started the year off the back of a surgery, which failed - and spent a further 3 months on my back with a revision surgery. Just being able to appreciate the outdoors and see places other than my bedroom ceiling was much needed!
I managed 5,502km and 104,073m of elevation across 360 hours of riding. All outdoors, roughly split 40% MTB, 40% gravel and 20% road.
No trip abroad last year either so i didnt get the big bonus week of lift fuelled riding.

I'll admit only 1/3 of that was outdoors, but at least that was all MTB.
Longest individual ride was 301km, 6,828 m & 30:55:54 (25:59:52 moving time)
Not far, not high, not long.
