Can newer Fox 36 be converted to 170mm, and can they use the older 2018-2020 air shaft?

Noticed some wear on one of the stanchions on my 2019 Factory forks, and thinking of the paint defect Merlin 36s, and swapping in my 170mm airshaft and Grip2 damper

Normal 36's can be fitted with a 170mm air spring, but i dont believe its compatible with the older model's springs.

The 'E-bike optimised' 36's only go to 160mm. Im not sure if there's actually a difference internally, or if its just a rider+bike weight limit issue.

Cheers.  I have now gone with the slightly more expensive 38 PE rather than dick about having to get another 170mm airshaft.

I'm weak.
