Im getting to grips (ish) with my stumpy and considering fitting either a 160mm air shaft or an angle set. Ideally if like 0.5-1deg slacker.
The air shaft seems like the most sensible and cheapest solution. But the instructions seem to give a part number for the 27.5 and 29er as the same.
Can i just swap my 150mm shaft out for a 160mm?
Pretty sure thats the case case with all the new evol forks..
Pretty sure you can't put an angleset in a Stumpy, there is no headset cups, they are moulded directly into the frame and the bearings sit on them.
thats what i thought hobnob but i thought id ask.
its a pike
so just purchase air shaft and swap out?
Have you taken forks apart before (lower leg service?)
Assuming they still use a yoke at one end of the shock, you could pop a single offset bushing in to reduce the HA by close to 0.5 degree.
I'd recommend Bounce's offerings...

yup had pikes apart before.
A 160 air shaft on a 26 is the same as 150 on a 27.5 and a 140 on a 29er with the original pike
thats what i thought.
so whats the part number for a 160 29er?
Is this already on the slack setting at the yoke? It has a flip chip you can rotate to alter angles
ere
already done that
im quite fancying the longer fork tbh
