I'm looking for a current (i.e. late 2016/early 2017) rear light review, if anyone has any they can direct me towards?
I'm not looking for personal recommendations as such (I use and Exposure Blaze, which is great), I'm looking for an article I can compare it with.

i seem to destroy rear lights. nothing i`ve tried lasts longer than 3 months apart from an old cateye i found in a bush and a £3 smart jobbie which refuses to die despite being smashed to pieces/dropped/neglected.
all the fancy ones are shit in my experience (ive tried lezyne, kryptonite, evans own brand ones, knog, topeak)
i ride in all weathers and off road. i think its the offroad bit they dont like. i tend to leave the lights on the bike over winter as i use them for night rides as well as commute.

Best rear light I ever had was an ancient cheap old cateye - bright enough, shrugged off water/muck, batteries lasted ages.
Sadly it decided to take another path to mine on a bikepacking trip and now resides somewhere on the WHW 🙁
Bikeradar usually have some kind of light round-up every year.
Fwiw - Moon Shield has been the most reliable I've used in recent years out of the rechargables. I also still have some duel led AAA phart ones going strong. They did let water in, but once dried out again and sealed up with tape, they've been good since.
I reckon you can do a lot worse than this one from Planet X - far and away the brightest rear light I've used, and cheap too.
I use two of these:

They're cheap and bright and the batteries last a long time. Don't die in the rain either.
Plus, having two means you don't get caught out totally if one fails. Less than a tenner each too
exposure traceR has been good, small and neat design, and a great UK product/company. still use my 10year exposure light on a daily basis
Thanks for the recommendations people, but like I said, I have my light sorted. I'm looking for a review I can compare it to, if you've got any links?
Thanks again
So you want a review of a light you already have?
Technology in front lights seems to improve every year. I find there to be much less year on year improvement in rear lights, and older ones seem to perform pretty well really
+1 to what Ben says - there's really only a couple of things needed in a rear light and just about every single model currently on sale does them. The only real differences are then whether you want an internal rechargeable battery or not and how the light mounts to the bike.
Thanks, but I think I've confused you all.
I am looking for published reviews of rear lights. NOT personal reviews or recommendations.
My light is great, I just want to look at other reviews and see how it stacks up.
Thanks
I came across this great tool called "Google Search" which gave me a list of "rear bike light reviews":
http://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/news/product-news/cycling-lights-buyers-guide-141811
http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/article/best-bike-lights-for-road-cycling-32289/
It would seem that there are a lot of them since the program says there are "About 1,080,000 results" so posting them all on here might take a while.

but why?
If it's great then it's great. Isn't it? Are you worried it isn't great? So you are worried you might be wrong about it being great?
