I like that Marin Klein lovechild.

Shand Hoolie looks nice, and the new Oranges.

Carbon Stache... ditto desirable Trek confusion. Fortunately my boycott of the company will prevent me from getting one.

That Trek or this Scott

Can't afford either, but the bike industry seems to have caught up with where bikes should be in my head! Huge tyres, DH bike geometry, 5" travel and weighing sod all!

[img] [/img]

And a Last Fast Forward as the obligatory hardcore HT to complete the fantasy bike shed.

TBH, and I know it's wrong, but the last few versions (ever since the enduro SL) have all been so good that I really struggle to get excited by a new one?

What's all this guff about the Marin being like an old Klein or MBK? It's like an old Marin! It's not all Zolatone you know! 😆

The Slash 29er. OK, so it's a rubbish colour but it ticks all my boxes otherwise. And the Rocket Max, I might not have a Cotic any more but I'm still a fanboi

That Trek is stunning, but too short for me in the reach.

I'd love to ride one of these in the 29er set up.....just to see if I could push it enough to make it come alive!

Im liking the new version of my Process, obviously it's got longer and slacker. Purposeful rather than pretty ! Considering a frame swap but then some new forks would be nice !
[img] [/img]

But wow that new Trek does look nice I too never thought I'd be saying that !

Whyte T130c works, should be picking it up in the next week, getting desperate as I sold mine a month ago, have borrowed a bike on a couple of occasions, but need the gap in the bike garage filling!

Cotic Flare Max. Demo-ing one a week on Friday. If it's a full suss version of my Stache, it's going to be hard to give it back!

That Reign is possibly the best looking 2017 bike I've seen yet.

What the hell is going on with Transition though? Horrible colour schemes (IMO obviously) and an extra 250 quid for the frame with the same geo as last year as far as I can tell, just with a new metric shock so you can't upgrade it. Glad I bought an Airdrop

Oooooohhhh that Reign made me all weak at the knees.

Loved the way my old Trance rode and probably wouldn't do a Reign justice but it does look nice.

445/459mm* in Large, is there much longer apart from the geometron?

*Seems odd that it only changes by 0.5deg between settings, but the reach goes up 15mm

re. the transition, I like the colours, last bike was black so time to brighten it up... the metric shock is a bit of a worry if there are issues, ironically one of the big selling points for this other than the good reviews was the 142 rear axle so that I can use my carbon wheels. But now I will have a new standard shock 😕 That shock and the lyrik is kinda why I went with a 2017, the first ride reviews on it (on a patrol) say it makes a big difference.

Gnnnrrrrk.

Oh, and at my LBS, there's an Allez Sprint DSW in a truly epic orange. Available with Zipp wheels and S-works tyres (Should have been turbo cotton skinwalls) for £2500. The frame is a work of art.

Was going to say the op's Marin is a retro euro spec Marin colour 8)

The Surly looks like a 1989 Saracen Traverse. This is a good thing 8)

Like the sound of that. Those DSW frames are lovely, like the raw finish too.

Mr B, pics are @stonehengecycle

The pics don't do it justice, it's beautiful. The resident road racing yoof (He's a top lad, actually!) is lusting after it. He's lusting hard! Given it's a 105 equipped bike, that says something! The Ultegra version, in green, doesn't look as nice IMHO. I'd go for the 105 Orange, with pimp wheels, and then gradually upgrade to DA.

Nice. Never been that bothered about Specialized bikes, but I'd happily add that and a Crux (without a gobbler!) to my quiver of steeds.

In what sense? THe Race models of the Strive already have fairly long geo

They definitely lost it in the aesthetics deprtment - used like the simple single colours (see trek above). New colours, paint schemes and even the frames are kind of ugly

When Transition make the Smuggler out of carbon I'll add it to my wishlist.

2017 alu version looks a bit like a Norco though, eh?

Sender is still a 4 bar, I though, just an oddly laid out one, so they're essentally the sane in that respect.

Think the Sender's seat tube junction thing is a it of a mess, personally, but it's an otherwise good looking bike.

They did make a bit of an arse with the Shapeshifter - was a neat idea, but terribly unreliable. THe saving grace is that when it breaks, you're left with a light 160mm bike that climbs very well, so it dosn't matter all that much.

Does a Stanton 'Next Gen' Sherpa in 3" B+ Flavour count?

If so one of them (I've just finalised my build negotiations with Dan and should get mine in the next month).

I know, I know, first non Cotic mountain bike in, oh, 7 years.... 😯

That said, I do like the look of the Flare/Rockets in Max variety. Just a bit too rich for my wallet atm.

Also, that Reign does look pretty tasty too (not for me though, it'd be totally wasted....)
