Trying to give this wheel one last lifeline but its not playing ball! Just changed the bearings as there was a considerable knocking/looseness in the rear, so I assumed it was knackered bearings. New bearings in - same situation. When I wobble from the top in a fast motion I hear tap tap tap tap/clunk clunk clunk . I thought it might be pivot bearings so I put in my 10sp wheel, no wobble at all, tight as a nut. So that leaves the wheel. I have a new (spare) freehub body and axle, so I tried those - no change. The only thing I can think of is the bearing spacer is worn out and has play in the fitting. No matter how tight I adjust the axle the play is still there.
Tried playing with spacers and no change either and followed online instructions to the letter.
Anyone had the same issue with this rear wheel? Its about to go in the bin as I have had enough of this and the spokes braking!
