Hello all!
I've had issues with the Praxis bottom brackets used in this frame ever since first purchasing the bike. It's on the third one now and that has just started the dreaded clicking and creaking phase. The bike I have is an alu Diverge smartweld from 2016.
Short of me replacing yet another BB or the frame altogether, I've seen the FSA BB30 to BSA converter shims/converters that you can get! I'm not sure how I've not seen these sooner!
Is the FSA model the best one to go for?
Can somebody help me...
I'd like to use one to install a Shimano 105 R7000 11 Speed Compact Chainset and BSA BB.
Can anybody tell me the correct size, 68mm or 73mm
If I need anything else as far as fitting the bottom bracket and chainset goes?
I'm really excited to have discovered this as a solution the the endless issues I've faced with the praxis bottom brackets.
Thank you in advance!
I fitted one to my Diverge years ago and it's not needed any attention since. I'd definitely fit one again.
I can't remember what size it was (I think 68mm), but you just need to measure the width of your BB shell.
Check it comes with glue - mine didn't but it *was* cheap.
You'll need some way of pressing it in (a length of studding and some large washers worked fine) and a BB to fit to it afterwards.
Make sure it goes in the right way around - grooved end to the drive side IIRC, but don't take my word for it.

Amazing!
Thanks for the tips!
You put it into the alu diverge?
once fitted any hollow tech BB will be find for buying and fitting a new 105 chainset?
Thanks again
Yes, fitted to a Diverge A1 Smartweld. The original Tiagra cranks went straight back in with a new, threaded BB.
