Nothing too exciting but BPW and Snowdon are on the list and, hopefully, 417 will get the go ahead and open up too. And I'd like to get some more uplift days in this year

Couple of lakes trips and some DH in the Pyrenees. Other than that just normal riding but hopefully more than this year. Not much MTB action this year 🙁

I was hoping to do one of the trans Provence guided tours, but none of the weeks fitted in, then they came up with this new tour, so I am on that, really really really looking forward to it.

http://www.trans-provence.com/1001est.shtml

I will of course require a new bike.

My list of things to do is more or less the same as last year's- did some great riding but didn't actually do much ticking of boxes. So alrady got a couple of enduros and the glentress seven in, hoping to do the scottish and irish EWS rounds and the trans-wales thing if I can get in... Other than that, just more quality riding, get down to south wales, up to sligachan and torridon, maybe finally do the west highland way which I've said I'll do next year, every year since I got on a bike...

Ah, you know what, who cares, I had a great 2014 on the bike despite doing almost nothing I'd planned so it's just not important

Nothing planned as such, but I'm definitely going to venture further afield next year if I get the time.

An uplift somewhere would be nice, maybe Antur or BPW.

A multi-day "adventure" ride in mid summer

To do some....

This year has been a bit poor!

I suspect mostly Lakes, bit of Dales... and if I get lucky perhaps Scotland??? Odd afternoons grabbed whilst working mainly.

Lots of long rides that aren't in forests. Some bikepacking. A foreign trip or two.

I'd like to do one or two rounds of the SES this year and get a weekend up riding Torridon during the summer if I can fit it in around a new mini-me arriving sometime in April as I'd imagine most of my cycling plans will go out the window when he or she arrives.

Long distance CX'er "sportives" (or whatever you'd call them) things like Lakeland Monster CX and that other one in Grizedale. I'll seek out all the others, may even do a Wiggle offroader thingumybob (get me) and then I'll ride my Roadie over there >> in that France and will be hacking all over the Vosges and then bit further south to ride the Mistral and do the MontyVonty et all down that way.

I have some rides to tick off next year..

Should be great, looking forward to it.

Nothing as fancy as you ^^^ lot, I'll just be happy to get some riding in, kids, work, life has got totally in the way and I've done less than 200 miles all year.

So for me just getting back out in 2015 will be ace!

I had a sniff at this for the big 30 next year but decided I'd never get fit enough to do it. Doing it at 50.. wow! Respect.

Grand raid (swiss) in the diary for August along with a weeks road biking in Sardinia in March, a couple of weeks in the alps in July and as much as possible everywhere else!

Quite fancy the epic Cymru event if I can get out of work. Dyfi enduro if I can get an entry.

Hopefully the big one next year will be the world champs in Andorra, I just have to get selected by BC. If I don't get into the team, I'll probably head down that way anyway, give the British riders a cheer and have an explore of the area.

Other than that, I'd like to do some of the UCI junior series rounds in Europe, some of the French, Dutch and Belgian nationals alongside the British ones, and all the standard local XC races.

Towards the end of the year I'd quite like to give an enduro a go, although it might be a bit tricky unless I get hold of a bike that isn't a 100mm XC hardtail 😕

And most of all I just want to ride in the sun, this rain and cold is reet grim.

Nowt planned.
I intend to try and get out for as many Wednesday night rides in the Lakes with the beercore crew.
Doing the Great Gable Round via 4 passes in each season is my challenge.
Seeing how close to 1 hour 45 minutes I can get to doing Nan Bield round from the top of Kentmere.
Taking MTB on holiday for once.
Might do Dyfi again, but will try not to lose an argument with Welsh slate...
Oh and take copious advantage of my mate in Malaga and go ride some Spanish trails.

Transcontinental in July and in to August. Starting in Belgian flanders then 1st checkpoint at Mt ventoux. Onto the Italian alps and the 2nd checkpoint on the strada Dell assieta, one of the untarmaced passes above sestriere. From there across northern Italy, through Slovenia and then Croatia to the 3rd checkpoint at vukovar. Then down Bosnia and Herzegovina, into montenegro and checkpoint 4 on mt lovcen. From there its Albania and a bit of Macedonia, northern Greece and then the finish at Istanbul. All this is unsupported and find your own way. Should keep me occupied 😀

Possibly a week road riding in Cyprus in February
Paris-Roubaix challenge - last year for us as it's gotten too big now and it's getting fuller of Brit Mamils with no manners
Maratona dles Dolomites again, but with a week getting there via the French Alps and then getting back via the Schwarzwald and the Ardennes.
Thinking about doing either one or two of the following Dirty 40/ Three Peaks USA/ Iron Cross depending upon timing.
Intending to ride Battle on the Beach with a bit of time before riding some of the South Wales trails
Also Bontrager 24/12, Bristol Oktoberfest and maybe Bikefest...

Aiming to do the full PMBA series, plus am already in for the Ard Rock Enduro.

Tempted by the Red Kite Enduro series as well.

After that, want to get down to the Long Mynd and then up to the Lakes.

Apart from that, I want to continue to have a bloody good laugh with my mates 😆

For me it will be trying to get some consistency into riding, in 2014 reckon I've done round 10 rides all year! So my aim more than 10 🙂

January -- Final round of the Brass Monkeys, the only one I've been available for in this series and first outing in the Grand Vets.

May -- Shepherding MB Junior round his first 100 miler at the Cycl;ists Fighting Cancer sportive in the Cotswolds. I see that being a big test of father-son harmony.

Sometime in the summer -- French Coast to coast to coast (Channel - Atlantic - Med) which I think/hope I can do in a week. I'm still working out how to fit this one round family and work.

When you off to CM? Going for a week at Easter, canny wait.

As well as Spain, got a weekend in the lakes planned for March, one of many hopefully. Ard rock in August, planning some Cairngorms riding too.

Most of all, I need to do more trail building, I really don't do enough, and some of my local trails could do with a bit of work. Need to put a bit of something back.

Looming at doing my first 300k audax in April. Slightly concerned at trying to fit a couple of 200s in in February and March first.

Few mates are looking at the CX sportives next year after they did the Lakes one this year. Kind of tempted....

And this years family holiday is close to Kirroughtree. I need to learn to ride a mountain bike again.....
