I've just took delivery of a pair of these for the princely sun of £35 brand new off Rutland cycling website, now these look and feel amazing. I've read they are a more closer fitting short rather than an out and out baggy. Now these seem a little tight around the top of the waist area but once on they stretch out fine. Not sure whether I should of ordered the 32 rather than the 30. Perfect everywhere else though, so does anyone else on here have/had these shorts?
What's was the fit like for you?
Don't want to send them back as they are a really nice piece of kit but also don't want them to sit in my drawer as there a bit tight!

IME they are certainly on the slim fitting & also a little on the short side.

Mine had to go back, when combined with pads it was a massive faux pas. Thigh gap.

Length seems perfect for me, it's just a bit snug at the top, feels comfy when on though, just don't want to be rocking some shorts that look to tight, like a fat bird in Lycra!!
I don't wear pads so the leg is not an issue.
It's a difficult decision as I love the shorts

tried 4 sets of different TLD shorts on back to back and all were a different cut, for most if you got 2 measurements right you were lucky!

Really? I have sprint, ruckus and two skylines, and all fit spot on.

I've got 2 pairs of Skylines that are the same size, yet still fit differently!

In fact i've got a third pair that's the bigger size on the label, yet are tighter than the 32's.

Like most brands, sizing is all over the place it seems

Must have just been lucky then, I thought the insane wayward sizing was an Endura trademark

I bought a pair a month or so back. I've had baggier lycra. I've got 3 pairs of 30" Motos and a pair of 30" Skylines, all of which are near as dammit perfect fit, with all the velco & ratchets as tight as they go, so was hoping 30" Ace shorts at half price would be spot on.

The Aces were OK round the waist, but spray on round the thighs. I daren't bend over in them. Returned them straight away.

See mine aren't to bad round the thighs, more tight towards the top near the waist, but strangely still very comfortable

I wonder if they'll stretch or give a little once worn for a couple of hours or so, or maybe just split!

Far too tight in the thighs. For xc whippet types only imo.

Got some from Rutland myself a while ago - seem really nice quality, but even going up to an XL (usually M) they were way too tight on the thighs, despite there being plenty of room in the waist. So back they went!
