Have an older one , getting too hot, has the new version changed or is it just the colours? Or any suggestions for an alternative.

I recently got an A1, I think it is last year's model, and it is rather hot. I was quite disappointed at how hot it is to be honest, my old Urge is probably slightly better and the passing on that soaks up the sweat really well.

As an alternative to the A1 I find my Fox Flux really good. It is nearly as comfortable and its loads cooler.

Just Bold New Graphics afaik. Pretty pleased with the Bluegrass Goldeneye I just bought. Only 8 vents but massive airflow. Not quite as amazingly comfortable as that first time you put on an A1 though.

I_ache, which urge helmet did you have pre switching? I was going to move from an endur-o-matic to the A1 as I can't imagine anything being much warmer...

Tom I've just done exactly the same. The A1 is definitely a little cooler but doesn't soak up sweat anywhere near as well as the urge. It's a comfy lid but I'm undecided if I'm 100% sold on it tbh

I use a urge all m and it's great. No real adjustment so doesn't suit everyone. Did a short write up about it here http://tinyurl.com/m4ew3ap

tomhoward It is the Endur-o-Matic, I still use it for night rides. It could well as luke1688 says just the fact that it soaks up sweat really well that makes it feel better to me.

Phew that was close, glad I didn't buy one now.
So, what to replace my Fox Striker with?
