Afternoon Gents, ive just bought a set of new 36's
im running a king 15mm front hub with floating 203 hope rotor.
i know this setup didnt use to work but that was old fox forks, im waiting a different hope mount to turn up but does anyone run this setup and know if its a go or no go?
ive spoke to Mojo, Bromley bikes and Hope and none of them seem to know.
Ive put the wheel in the forks and there is clearance between the rotor and postmount on the forks.
thanks
It will rub. I tried it and ended up having to go with a non floating rotor.
was this on a set of 15 lowers are they are different to older ones? like ive said it clears the postmounts just by probably 2mm
Well I tried it on my original 2013 lowers, didn't fit. When I had some new lowers I couldn't see there would have been any extra clearance - the lowers look the same, not sure why they would change.
Id say no.
'09 fox 36 vans, 225 hope floating disc and 20mm king hub, no clearance issues here
I run 205mm hope floating rotors in 2015 Fox 36's with no issues.
This is with Hope hubs though. I'll consciously have a look at how much clearance there is this evening.
The mount arrived this morning so after some careful fitting there is approx 1mm clearance between the rotor and mounts.
The caliper is central and I didn't have to file anything
Hopefully this will be useful to someone else
