I ran an On-One Chunky Monkey up front (2.4) and a Smorgasbord on the rear (2.25) with no problems.

I had a Trail King 2.2 in the back for a while, they are big for a 2.2 especially on the 30mm rims, it was slightly wider than the original across the carcass, not the tread. That and the original 2.3 Ground Control are as big as I would go, not much mud room left. The Ground Control is a better tyre than the Trail King (Black Chilli) for where I ride, in my opinion.

I can't see how you could go wider than stock to be honest. Certainly at the back its fairly tight.

I seem to have quite a bit of room in there I think. At least enough to maybe go 2.4 with a largish tyre. It's all because I ran a 650b+ set up in it last week and really liked it but it dropped the bb too much so I was hoping for a bit more squish in there .
