Ive been looking at a Spectral 650b as a trail bike. Ive always been concerned about the sizing by numbers system availabe as the only option to canyon customers. At 169cms and a 30.5" inseam the calculator put me on a small. I was not convinced as the geo numbers look smaller than I am have been riding. So I got a test ride on a mates 2015 medium spectral. My only question is whether the frame geometry has changed between 2015 and 2016 frames. Just so I know whether the outcome of the test is like for like.
I know canyon themselves are best to answer this, but cant seem to get an answer from them!
It hasn't changed as far as I can tell. There were a few changes from 2014 to 2015, but not from 2015 to 2016. Nor does it look like there are any changes for 2017. I'm on a large, and it's a brilliant bike. Handles everything the Lake District can throw at it.
Sizing hasn't changed for this year. Sounds like you should be on a medium.
