Hi, I bought some marzocchi 55 CR forks about 6 months ago and after having the rebound damper swapped out (first one didn't work even after bleeding the cartridge) I've been really happy with them. However at the weekend I noticed a very annoying creaking through the front end when it's loaded with my weight and some sideways force (like turning or pedaling standing up and pulling on the bars). So far I've rebuilt the headset and will service the forks this week, but if anyone's had the same problem and got to the bottom of it let me know.
I sold a set of 2012 to a mate who recently changed his forks and i bought them back, before he stripped them off the bike they were creaking so he sent them back to Windwave and the replaced the CSU with a new version to sure it.
Apparently this creaking is a not uncommon issue but I assumed it had been resolved for the latest forks.
Managed to fix this with a lower lube service, the forks were pretty dry and there was a little bit of dirt in the lowers.
Lowers-off and oil change was also the solution when my 44RC3Ti developed a slight creek a while ago.
