After a bit of help if anyone can oblidge.

I have a 2013 Lapierre Zesty 414 that is in need of a new drive chain. I priced up replacement cassette, rings, chain and jockey wheels £190!

For £349 I can have a complete SRAM GX Eagle 12 from Chain Reaction at the moment.

Does anyone know if this would be a simply swap out? I assume I'd just need to swap out the BB for a SRAM item and all would be good?

Anyone who's done a swap from 20 speed XT to 12 speed SRAM, I'd love to know if it all went OK?

Ta.

I changed my 2010 zesty to SRAM 11 speed from 3X9 no issues can't see it being a problem. You will need a SRAM hub but that should be just an outer.

Yep hub needs a new freehub, BB will depend what you have, Hope etc do a GXP converter for the BB

Do you need a new crankset? If not you'll save yourself a few quid just ordering the derailleur,, shifter, cassette, chain and a narrow/wide chainring for your existing crankset. Use the money saved to buy the XD Drive freehub you'll need for your rear wheel.

Opinion is divided on the benefit of the hooked Eagle chainring.  Some love it, some claim no difference.

For GX you'll definitely  need an XD freehub.  NX runs on the standard Shimano hub you already have but gives up the 10T top for 11T as a result, which is actually a big deal (check gear calcs if not sure).

If you go for the whole package you will obviously need a compatible BB.  Assuming you mean this deal (cheaper than the price you quote), note that's 24mm GXP not the new DUB.

I see that for that package, CRC are only letting you choose crank length so you get the crank whether you want it or not!  A quick shopping basket shows you could get shifter, mech, cassette and chain for about £280 at CRC (you'd need to use an alternative chain but not impossible).  Depending on rear wheel, £60 may go a long way to the cost of a freehub.  If your chainring is knackered it's moot.  If you're converting a double don't forget to add spacers.  Obviously, don't forget to account for a cable kit too!

Thanks for the feedback. Think I'm going to go 11 speed shimano/sram mix. Keep my cranks and no need to change freehub.

If you’re going 11sp, seriously consider the Sunrace cassettes. The Shimano 11’s are boat anchors already and losing that top gear vs the SRAM properly buggers the usability vs a double, you end up needing a bigger chainring and therefore lower cassette to compensate while trying to retain top end performance for while you aren’t going downhill.  You can get up to 11-50 in Sunrace 11sp.

If you’re using SRAM shifting for that you’d want an Eagle mech and 11sp shifter (pull is compatible).

Just as an aside, shifter not withstanding... Do you know if a gx11 mech is compatible with a gx eagle cassette?

If it's of interest, I have just taken a full SRAM NX 12 speed groupset off a brand new bike, never ridden. Mech, shifter, chain, cassette (you don't need a new freehub body for NX) and DUB cranks/BB. £200 posted. I'll pop photos up tonight.
