I've been given a 2013 yeti SB66C from a relative who's gone to 27.5 is there anything I should know regards the frame ie parts which wear quick etc ?
Don't want to spend more time fixing stuff than riding it !!

Bearings.
Pack the bearings regularly, particularly the big switch bearings, you'll be around 120-150 quid a time to change them - which will generally be every year. Keep an eye on the rear triangle, they're well known for cracking (I got fed up after the 2nd time it was riddled with cracks).
If you can swallow that, they're phenomenal bikes, it's still the best descender I've had, suspension platform feels bottomless on big rocky bastard stuff, and it's bloody quick as a result.
Chainstays can wear out very quickly
Ummmmmmm it's a second bike behind my Liteville so won't be used that much so bearings wise shouldn't be too bad ,cracking rear triangle is a bit more of a worry

I had the alloy which was still better than the Banshee Spitfire V2 I replaced it with. Even the V3 Rune I'm on now sometimes can't suck up a hit like the 66 could.
Did the carbon rear ends crack as much as the alloy?
Pack the big bearings with more grease, they don't have to move far.
Be careful with derailleur hangers, though I think the carbon swingarm version was better than the alloy which would bend as soon as look at it.

Mine was the AC, alloy front, carbon rear, IIRC the full carbon model seemed to be less susceptible. Tbh, if it's got from 2013 without cracking, it'll probably be fine.
An absolutely brilliant bike. I ran mine through all sorts and apart from some bearing replacements it ran flawlessly. Stonking descender, and just so much fun to ride. The only thing to watch was the big centre pivot - it moves very little through its range so can get a bit clogged up. I'm slightly jealous you got given one - that's some present.
Honestly though, things to watch? The lack of replacement 26" parts was what forced my change after a long life with it, so there's always that!
I've contacted Yeti and spares are not a problem but I agree 26 stuff is getting less common ,it was a great present unless he knows something about the frame that I don't !!
The Yeti SB66 is still the best bike I have ever owned, and I have had a LOT of bikes over the years.
Mine was an alloy frame in yellow with Kashima shock and Pikes. Felt like a magic carpet at Afan.
It was last the 26er I had and I still miss it now.
