You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Have you just had an email through from Wiggle asking you to fill in their survey. It's a long one but there is a first prize of £1500 in vouchers. Sounds tempting doesn't it!
But here is the catch. When you get to the survey end and click on the terms and conditions of the prize, it turns out that those vouchers only give you 20% off a purchase at wiggle, so that nice new frame you've had your eye on cant be bought. Oh, and they dont have a link to those terms on the initial email even in very tiny print.
As a research professional, it's a shocking abuse of confidence. Pity the poor sod who wins. If you read this Wiggle, you've committed a classic marketing con and I hope it backfires. You'll never get a penny from me ever again. My advice is keep spending your money in your LBS.
i ride the same trails as you
ive just removed wiggle from my bookmarks off the back of your post. thx.
good first post, was worth waiting for.
Wiggle are right sneaky shits with their discounts sometimes. (I'm sure other online retailers are too as well, for balance!) Everything was 20% off (if you have platinum discount) at the weekend anyway to "celebrate" the end of the tour. The helmet I had been keeping an eye on - which was discounted 20% anyway last week - had magically gone back up to full price for the weekend, but you could apply the "special" code to get it back down to the price it was anyway! If you didn't know the previous price you might well think you were getting a time-limited bargain.
That said, they have had some proper genuine bargains lately (reverbs, hope hoops, etc) so can't complain too much! 😆
Can u link that claim?

Half way down 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes are not discount vouchers. They read as full price vouchers to me...
All looks a bit knee jerk to me
Ah the old, don't enter this comp so my odds of winning are increased ploy. I know it well...
Strangely enough, i just did this survey.
It is looooooong.
I did chuckle when it asked me if I thought a physical representation of Wiggle, the company, would be sexy and masculine.
I saw the physical representation of Wiggle on the ads during last years Tour and Vuelta... it was neither.
