Thinking about replacing the Fox Float CTD on my 2013 Nomad with a CCDB Air as I really like the feel of the CCDB Coil on my V10.
Has anyone used the Standard air can version on their Nomad? The CC site recommends the high volume (VX) as the nomad has a progressive linkage however the internets tells me people were using the standard air can version on the nomad before the high volume can was released.
Just wondering if anyone had any real world experience of either / both?
Cheers
Anyone with a CCDB on any year Nomad?
I used the standard volume CCDB on my Nomad and it was brilliant. IIRC there are 2 setup pages on the CC website, one with standard volume settings and one with XV.
I never really understood where the recommendation for the high volume can came from, since the most common complaint levelled at the Nomad was that it would blow through its mid stroke. Solved by reducing volume in the aircan...
I'll not rush out and buy an additional VX air can in that case and just try the Standard can first.
Cheers
Older 2010/11 Nomad, and got the higher volume as likewise that's what CC recommended. Got it from TF Tuned and think their site recommended it also.
Had heard similar about it not being needed, but then some have said for my kind of riding (tame compared to most Nomad riders probably 😀 ) the high volume is maybe better. I'm more into stuff making the shocks work with rapid blasts down rough stuff with the shock keeping the wheels gripping the ground, rather than hucking off things and blowing through travel on big drops.
Whatever the case, high volume standard CCDB Air CS on my old Mk2 Nomad and just have to say it's bloody awesome feel.
