Just received my new pair of shimano xt brakeset from rose bikes. Came quicker than crc! Less than a week!! 😀
Im wanting to put them on my orange 5 and obviously I need to change levers around and shorten them.
Is there any video's of how to this as these arent open resovior?
Cheers.

to swap levers:
pump pads out until they touch, undo hoses on each brake, swap over and tighten up. Lever pistons back, - done

no need to bleed

+1 for yellow pot.

you can shorten hoses without it, but it'll be less stressful with it.

bleeding with the yellow pot is a joy 🙂

When i do mine i [probably] won't be cutting hoses, I'm interested by your no bleed solution. Are you swapping at the caliper?

Just got mine from Rose Bikes too. About 48 hours from order to receipt...give or take.

Looking forward to fitting them.

What's with the funny (free) bag? Is it a Euro thinG?

Don't forget to be gentle with those pistons. You can break ceramic you know! 😳

Always swap at the lever end.

Yep, good advise, cheers. Why have they made pistons out of ceramic anyway if it breaks easy? Unless it just slides in and out easier.

Ceramic doesn't conduct heat like metal!!

And you can't get spare pistons!!

But the pistons in SLX calipers are the same!
