anybody got a set? im just about to hit the buy button - any reason not to buy? always had fox over the years but cant justify the cost now
liking the new solo air and heard they are gonna be just as stiff too as the 32's?
any input appreciated!
I have some and really like them. I had pikes before and these are more sophisticated , very smooth and seem to soak up bumps as well as climbing well .Presonally I'd choose them over fox everytime unless your into on the fly micro-adjustment
Replaced the fox float rlc on the wife's bike with a bolt through rev rlt dropped to 130. She appears no worse off for the switch. I do sometimes toy with the idea of upgrading the damping. Not because there's a problem but because I like tinkering a d people keep mentioning mission control dampers.
Sorry, thought the title said 2012.
I've some RL's, nice forks that I have yet to get the most out of I think. Dual Air model, required some tinkering with once broken in. Stiff, light and responsive.
edited quick title change : i meant 2013's hence the single air which is nice and simple
they will replace float FIT rl's that are 3 years old and the dampers 2years old, the damper needs a service and cost wise after i sell them its cheaper just get a brand new set i reckon!
hopefull they will be decent and stiff with good damping!
are they as easy to service as fox's?
I was talking about the 2012s as well
The thing I was told about the 2013 solo air is that you can't internally adjust the travel. As I (the wife) needed a 130, that was a big problem.
i have 2012 single air dual position revs RCT3 and they are great, get them bought.
i cant stretch to the RCT3 phil im probably gonna go down the RL route as im not assed about 't' threshold thing, i like my float RL's nice and simple lockout and rebound
wouldnt even consider them TBH if they were still dual air, could never get them set up right when i had them in 08
I've got the RCT3's, they are really good. I like the threshold setting, use it for climbing and if I forget to turn it off, don't get a horrible shock on the first big bump. Whether they are worth it over the RLT I can't say. Do feel the small bump absorption isn't as good as it was on the dual air forks, but maybe i am just getting old.
I have RCT3 Revs.
Excellent forks.
get the T 😀
Can you stretch to these?

I have RCT3 dual air pikes with dual flow rebound.Simply an amazing fork.Prefer them over my RTL-Ti revs... 😀
Bit of a thread hijack, but does anyone know where you can still get 2012 RCT3's. I would like the dual air for extra tweaking but the place I was going to get them from is now out of stock. Doh!!!
Thanks robhughes, bit more expensive than the nice European ones I was looking at, ho hum...
It wasn't me mmel - I went with Magura's today!
Loco can easily upgrade your internals to rc3T
Yes hora he definitively can... 😀
Cheers ndg, I spent too long dithering and missed the boat 🙁 I'll be interested to hear how you get on with the Maguras
You can adjust the travel on the 2013, there are people talking about it on Merlin in the reviews, and even having the spacers included too
Revs are way stiffer than Fox 32.
what about service intervals? are they easy to service at home for the 'competant' home mechanic?
yeah very easy.
