I know it's a bit early... just wondering when the 2012 model year machinery will start hitting the stores? I am kind of waiting to see what the specs and prices are going to look like before taking the plunge (the thought being if they aren't much changed to this year I may hold off and pick up a bargain when the prices get slashed!)

Some Cube hardtails are already being delivered. IN most cases, 2012 models ship early when 2011 models are sold out early - hence few bargains to be had. Going by the last couple of years, some specifications will be lower in order to maintain the price point.

Yep lots of bargains appear but run the risk, if the frame model you want is popular it'll have sold out.
Gawd!! We're not halfway through June yet! Cannondale are usually pretty early out the traps.Orange will be speccing 2012 Fox suspension shortly.Trek launch their road bikes to co-incide with the TTF.Eventually they will be so far ahead they will just skip a year.
Will be a lot less clearance about as importers brought a lot less in this year....some models have been out of stock already.
When new bike models come out, I always curse the fact I am not a dwarf or a honorary member of the Harlem Globetrotters, as they are always the bikes left at the end.
Got my 2012 fox f29s already. Not fitted yet though so don't know what they're like.

Thing is there are a few options, I need to try some of them out soon... but with there not being *a* specific bike or spec that I am desperate for it may make a certain amount of sense to hold off for a bit.
