Out on a day's coaching session, a great way to have a shakedown ride...

I'm also considering a dropper seatpost probably a Reverb and some Syntace carbon bars when they're back in stock in 700mm flavour

I took the bike for a proper spin out on Sunday, 24 miles of singletrack, doubletrack and a few road sections to link it together

The Sting is superb, much more to my style of riding than my last bike 🙂

It's an excellent climber even with the forks at 120mm, drop em down to 90mm and I was climbing stuff my mates were not able to get up, it's usually the other way round with me struggling to climb anything steep or techy

On the singletrack it just flies along carrying the speed really well. I dunno if it's the skills course paying off but this thing corners on rails 😀

Not done any decent downhill sections on it yet, but on the stuff I've done on it so far it feels very capable and confident

It's one awesome bit of kit, I'm really happy with it

Looking good don't mean to thread jack but has anyone ridden the 100mm travel cubes as they are on my short list for my next build.

Yup, I had a 2010 Cube AMS Pro 100 R1 (it's for sale at the mo)

Nice bikes, but a bit too racey for me

The Sting has a -20mm BB height, my last bike the AMS 100 had a -12mm BB height, so only 8mm lower

The slacker angles (Sting Vs AMS) also play a part in the feeling of confidence on a bike, as do several other factors

Just gotta watch those pedals with a low BB 😉
