Need a bit of advice, please. Should the seatpost go lower than in the pic? There is a very small "tab" of metal that stops the post going any further down... Is this norm or just an incorrectly finished weld?

Cheers all.

Normal. I filed mine off and run it a little lower to give me a bit more range. Go careful, especially if you have an air shock

Yep it's normal, it's to stop stupid people smashing the shock with the seatpost.

I cut about 70mm off my post so I could drop it a bit more, at full height it just goes past the safety hole too.
