Having a nightmare. Sold frame but during boxing or transit bushing #6 highlighted in diagram below has gone missing (I removed shock and a linkage bolt to pack frame smaller). We (me and buyer) have emailed ATB, Marin, TFTuned- no response, yet.

Measured by buyer: 6mm ID / 8mm OD / Total width 3.5mm split evenly between flange ( 1.75mm ) and shaft (1.75mm) / 18mm flange OD (but that's less critical).

Doesn't seem to be a standard size. Emailed a Igur.co.uk and BPFOnline about custom manufacturing. I've also come up with a bodge option using a nylon washer.

Any other options I'm missing?

Thanks in advance for any tips

Where you say you contacted Marin, do you mean the new importers?

Can't remember their name, it's odd though, something like "Pagi" or such.

I contacted them about a legacy part and they were kind enough to have a hunt for it but no joy.

If you haven't tried them, im sure a Google will find their name, it's worth a shot...

I wouldn't get your hopes up though. I know exactly the parts you mean as I had them on my 2004 Marin. They could certainly be duplicated on a lathe... But Lord knows if that is cost effective.

Good luck bud.

Thanks! The buyer did say "current distributor" so I guess Paligap (if that's it).

If the custom manufacturing isn't cost effective I'll try to find someone with a lathe (assuming the buyer doesn't like my standard sized bush + washer idea!)

Had same on my old Mt Vision Pro, 2004.
ATB Sales were the importers back then if I remember right, give them a shout, see if they have something in a dusty box somewhere?
.
Not mine, but bidding finishes at lunchtime tomorrow, currently £33. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Marin-Mount-Vision-Frame/113560052787?hash=item1a70b4e433:g:suIAAOSws6dcPcmA:rk:15:pf:0
Strip for parts, sell shock, an frame separately?

ATB have given all their spares over to Paligap, at least that's what they told me.

@andrewh- thanks. ATB were actually my first call as I used to have a contact there ages ago and always found them helpful. If they've given all their spares to Paligap there's nothing they can do I suppose. Even confirming the exact OEM measurements would be useful though. I do know some people handy on a lathe that could knock something up.

I can't be bothered with the hassle of buying another frame to strip. Also I'm nervous about selling anything like that I don't know the history of. I'd sooner refund the buyer and get my frame/shock back.

Did that Marin share any parts with the Whyte E5 or 46 - maybe Whyte may have some old parts in a dusty corner?

I've got a broken 2001 ish Attack Trail trail in the garage. Let me go get my allen keys and Verniers.
EDIT: Bum, 8mmish ID, 12mmish OD 🙁 Sorry dude.

Thanks guys!

Ambrose- any real world experience on whether a 3d printed bushing be durable and accurate without further machining? From googling I can see igus do a filament so it must be pretty common I suppose.

Vmgscot- apparently Whyte/ATB don't have any :/

Submarined- thanks for checking!

A local engineering place may be worth a visit. After watching wheeler dealers prices do not seem to be too high.
