That's what the BBC reckon. But a clean rider at Kelme?

Not really. It's a great picture though.

Have a look at this article guys. And more importantly this image:

Obviously obsolete now but it shows just how far back you have to go to get a real winner who was never accused of doping; for example in 2006 you have to go back to 8th place.

Ullrich has never been found guilty has he? Could that make him 5 (potentially 6) time winner?

Hinault was the man of my era, if clean then a real stand out rider.

I would say that its not really a good idea to try a count back to clean rider game and the re allocate the win

Its probably best if it all comes out so that UCI etc. can think long and hard about how badly it stuffed up. I think a rider thinking that they can pick up a retrospective win by keeping quiet will not help people understand what was going on

So is it assumed that Indurain was clean or better at keeping quiet and keeping out of the lime light. Are his performances credible? This article says that post tour performances were not credable from the mid 1990s onwards.....

I've pretty much lost interest in the pro peloton over the last few years, hard to take is seriously as a sport anymore. Its becoming more a sport of "whose the best doper", rather than a sport of battling clean athletes, which I don't it ever will be.
