got 2 x 10 on my new bike.
dont like 24/34 rings...feels odd and hard using 34 front for most stuff.
got a new 22/32/42 crankset sat in the spares.
will it be ok to fit? and use the same front mech obviously without using the 42 outer.
Why not just take the 32T ring off the triple and put it on the double in place of the 34T?

swap the rings over, are you saying that 34-36 is too hard a gear though? I used the whole range on the cassette on the larger ring of my 2x setups rather than just using half when on a triple.
Use the 24 more?
Get rid of both and get a 30t narrow wide.
If you are only gonna ride offroad I would go with the double ( and fit a ring you are happy with)
If your gonna use it for offroad and roads, even if it is just riding to get to the woods etc, I would go with the Triple.
