I've got a 7 year old Cannondale F6. The frame has fractured around the seat post top tube junction. Cannondale UK has rejected a warranty claim due to wear and tear stress.
Can it be fixed or is it best to bin it?
Thanks for any help.

Yup it can.

Had a similar problem and resolved it by getting the seat post welded into the frame (efffectively replacing the seat Collar)There's plenty of meat in a seatpost relative to the tubing so you wont get distortion issues. And the post will help brace the junction...

Okay so I'm not going to be dropping my post and if it snaps for any reason I'm gubbed but like you I've had my money's worth out of the frame anyway.

It can be fixed but unless you're particularly attached to the frame I would retire it
