(I've a Fenix 5...)

Firstly,
there was chat on this forum a few weeks ago bemoaning the fact that if using Zwift you had to not only record/use zwift, but ALSO record on your garmin, so as to get the 'training load'/fitness data onto the garmin.
Well... last week Garmin connect updated, so that it will now transfer data from a (sole) zwift ride 'back into' the garmin device.. i.e you don't need to simultaneously record on a garmin device as well any more.
Pretty good.

Secondly, RE Garmin pay..
It's naff as tehre's only like 3 US banks that actually allow Garmin pay!
But... I've got a curve card (that's mastercard) that DOES work with garmin pay, and the benefit of curve is that it's a 'front' for any other bank card...
Ergo... I can now use my halifax card with garmin pay...

Noice...

Thanks DrP. I don't use Zwift, but wonder if it will now do the same with FulGaz - will look.

PSA on point two, Starling Bank, which I use as my international travel account (due to low fees) are UK based and will take Garmin Pay.

Santander support Garmin pay. Not sure for how long exactly but I switched it on when I bought my va3 in April 2020

Starling here too. They seem to support all the contactless systems (Apple/Google/Fitbit/Samsung/Garmin...)

I created an account initially just to top up and use with a Fitbit, but consolidated all our accounts a while back and has been excellent.

This prompted me to have a look at the latest Fenix. There is a Prime Day deal on the Fenix 6 Pro at £375 (RRP £599, usually £479). Almost tempted as there a few things my Instinct doesn't do.
