Quick bit of info needed please.

I need to rent a car, will 2 bike box Alan’s go in a golf estate with room for a bag also?

What about Focus/Megan/308 estate?

thanks

Unless they've seriously changed the dimension of a golf estat... Yeah with loafs of room to spare.

I doubt you'll even need the seats down.

If the box is the same size as the ones they are delivered in before they are sold they might just go in. Restriction is between the wheel arches mainly. My Focus estate is a decent size and I think they’d go in with the seats folded but I’m not 100%.

Mid size estates aren’t as big as they used to be unfortunately.

Bikebox alan isn't a cardboard box its a flightcase thing.

They'll DEFINITELY go in.

Do you need the rear seats free too?

rica.org.uk is perfect for checking stuff like this (they measure up so you can work out if a wheelchair will fit).

Golf 7 wagon boot is 101.4cm wide at narrowest, 105.2cm long with seats up, 176.9cm with them down.

Bikeboxalan is 113cm long, so won't go lengthwise or between the arches. May be OK diagonally and one of them will definitely fit across in the wider part behind the arches.

Thanks. Don’t need the rear seats so I am fairly confident it’ll be ok.

I’ve had a fairly flat sided bike bag & a Bike Box Alan on top of it in my Audi A4 estate with the rear seats down. They fitted well with room to slide a large case on its side in too behind the front seats. Placing 2 BB Alan’s on top of each other (would have to be on sides because of roof height restriction) may be tricky as the wheel side is not particularly flat. Some packing might help.....
