My new bike has come with Assegais all round, and I want something a bit less riding-through-tar-y for the rear.
Loved the DHRII on my old bike in 2.4, so was looking at the 2.6 as a winter tyre (I like the Aggressor in dryer stuff), however 2.6 is a new thing to me and I'm concerned about vagueness in sloppier conditions.
How is it?
And anything else to consider? I'm looking at Big Betty as well.

Bike is ~150mm and came with 35id rims which I certainly won't be changing for a while.

I have the DHR 2 in 2.8 EXO, 2.6 EXO+ Maxxterra and 2.4WT EXO+ Maxxterra . They are all great and never vague in the wet.

Was looking at a 2.6 yesterday, seems to have smaller knobs than a 2.5.

There isn't a 2.5 is there? Thought it was 2.4 and 2.6?

Cheers TheGhost, just trying to find the right spec and get the stupid amount of combinations sorted in my head!

sorry, yes - was thinking DHF but seems to be the case with all the 2.6 Maxxis

I think the 2.6 Maxxis are more like small plus tyres whilst the 2.4 and 2.5 use the same moulds as the DH tyres with bigger knobs.
