You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Idle chat with a mate who's looking for a challenge next year. He's just swam the English Channel, so he's not afraid of a bit of work.
Looking for something 2-3 days in duration with a reasonable, but not excessive, amount of cycling each day. Needs to be self supported and stopovers will be tents that we take with us.
Probably road rather than off-road (not my preference 🙁 )
Preferably use trains to get to where we need to go
Initial thoughts are a coast to coast of some sort or possibly Bruges to home (SE UK).
What can the hive mind suggest?
May not be enough of a challenge for someone who's done the channel but the Way of The Roses is a cracking route. 2 days is perfectly feasible for a reasonably fit cyclist. 3 days makes for a more leisurely affair.

You could keep it simple and pick 2 places that are 250 - 300 miles apart and jus cycle between them, London - Paris is 250 miles, that could work, south coast to Manchester would be similar.

Edinburgh-London and return?
Across Scotland - some sort of Scottish coast to coast or along the north coast from Cape Wrath to JOG.
Proper remote stuff.

Hmmm, do we now have shoals, as well as swarms? 😉
